The Acuvue eyeSuite app I wrote was recently mentioned in a Sydney Morning Herald article on local iPhone application development.

After a lot of work, the ACUVUE® EyeSuite iPhone application has finally been launched.

I was the developer on this project (working with the great creative folks over at McCann Sydney) – it was loads of fun to work on.
Go ahead and download it now from the iTunes app store – it’s FREE.

Not much time to blog lately – things have been fairly hectic the last few weeks.
I’ve finally left my job and gone Indie in an attempt to concentrate on Mac/iPhone development FT – we’ll see how long my mortgage agrees with this new working arrangement
I’m also working on a book which is turning out to be way more work than I expected. I now have a lot more respect for authors (not that I didn’t respect them to begin with!)
Although currently very busy, I’m always looking for future projects. If you are in or around Sydney and are looking for a Mac or iPhone developer, please feel free to get in touch with me at duncan @ this domain.

Update It’s available now.
After many requests, I finally got around to adding currency conversions this morning.
Currency data is downloaded from Yahoo! each time you start the app, and is available for 48 currencies.

The update should be available in a couple of days once Apple have approved it.
If I’ve missed a currency, please feel free to contact me and I’ll add it in the next version (assuming Yahoo! offers currency data for it of course).

Update: Looks like it’s finally been approved, 2 weeks after I initially submitted it.
Hopefully I’ve changed the UI enough to no longer look like a Polaroid:

Unless of course scotch-tape complain about the use of the piece of tape..
